This jump rope is made by covering the handle with leather. When sewing the bottom, a technique called "skin stitching" is used, which is an application of shoemaking technique, and this part is the highlight of the technique.

It may be difficult at first because of the many hand-stitched parts, but this recipe is perfect for practicing your sewing skills. This is a great recipe for practicing your sewing skills, and we encourage you to give it a try to improve your skills.

STEP.1

Trace the pattern with a silver pen.

STEP.2

The leather is cut along the traced lines.

STEP.3

Draw a line 3 mm from the edge with the "binder" as a guide for making a hole with the "rhombus hammer".

STEP.4

Drill holes with a "rhombus hammer" along the guide.

STEP.5

Use a "circular die cutter (16mm diameter)" on a piece of leather to pull out two circles of leather.

STEP.6

Draw a line 3 mm wide from the edge with a "binder".

STEP.7

Holes are drilled with a "scooping needle" in the areas where lines are drawn.

STEP.8

Drill a hole in the center using a "round punch (6mm diameter)".

STEP.9

The circle part and the main part are sewn by hand with "one needle" and the end is fastened with two tight knots.

STEP.10

Sew the sides of the handle by hand using a "scoop needle". Start by sewing diagonal stitches all the way to the top and then sew the folded part so that it forms a "X".

STEP.11

After sewing to the front half of the piece, insert a cylindrical piece of wood with a hole in it.

STEP.12

Once the wood is inserted, continue sewing to the end to cover it.

STEP.13

Adjust the length of the leather strap and thread it through the finished part.

Put the tip of the tied string into the handle for a clean finish.

STEP.14

Thread the string through both, and you are done.
