Dirt removal is in all directions
Finishing is in one direction for conditioning
Raised leather tends to get dirty and stained easily. Since the surface is not smooth, it cannot be polished, and maintenance can only be done with a brush. Therefore, it is necessary to be a little careful with it on a daily basis.
Maintainance basically involves waking up the bristles that have fallen asleep during use and brushing off the dirt in between the bristles. Brushes should be applied in all directions when removing dirt, but when finishing, they should be moved in one direction with the bristles in mind. In addition, brushed leather does not repel water, and water soaks right into the leather. Therefore, waterproofing and water repellent sprays for leather should be applied on a daily basis to prevent water stains.
Suede desert boots. At a quick glance, they do not look too dirty, but upon closer inspection, the tint on the back of the foot appears darkened. The rain has made the fur look fuzzy, and the shape of the shoes looks blurry.
Remove stains by wetting the entire surface.
When raised leathers such as suede and nubuck get wet and then dry, the border between wet and dry areas tends to become stained. To remove such stains, wet the entire surface of the stain to lift it out and dry it in the shade.
If you can't get rid of the stain, you can dye it.
As you use a raised leather, it is possible to get stains that cannot be removed even after maintenance. In such a case, you can dye it again to make the stain less noticeable.
